This page describes the cookies and other storage technologies used by the plabpro.com website and by the P-LAB PRO platform (the "LAB" reserved area), pursuant to the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) of 10 June 2021 and the GDPR. The data controller is identified in the Privacy Policy.
In short: we use first-party technical cookies (necessary for operation, no consent required) and — only upon your prior consent given through the banner — measurement cookies provided by Google, for two distinct purposes: site usage statistics (Google Analytics 4) and measuring the effectiveness of our campaigns (Google Ads). Conversion cookies belong to an advertising system, but we use them solely to measure how effective our campaigns are: we do not enable ads personalisation or remarketing, and we do not build advertising profiles.
These are necessary for the operation of the website and the platform; pursuant to art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Garante's Guidelines they do not require the user's consent. They are all first-party (set by our domain).
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Technical cookie | Session cookie: maintains the browsing and authentication session (login, CSRF protection, confirmation messages). | Session (deleted when the browser is closed) |
| _identity | Technical cookie | "Remember me": keeps you signed in between visits. Set only if you select "Remember me" at login. | 14 days |
| _language | Technical cookie | Stores the language chosen for the website and the platform (Italian or English), so that it is applied again on your next visit. | 30 days |
| plab_consent | Technical cookie | Stores your choice made through the banner (acceptance or refusal of measurement cookies), so that the banner does not reappear on every page. | 6 months |
In the reserved area we also use the browser's local storage (localStorage/sessionStorage): first-party technical data that stays on your device and is not transmitted to third parties.
| Key | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| plab_appcard_dismissed_* | localStorage | Remembers that you dismissed the mobile-app information card. | Persistent (until browser data is cleared) |
| plab_onboard_app_* | localStorage | Remembers that you marked the "Download the app on the tablet" step of the getting-started path as completed. | Persistent (until browser data is cleared) |
| plab_interval_* | sessionStorage | Remembers the statistics interval selected in the match report. | Until the tab is closed |
| plab_scroll_* | sessionStorage | Restores the scroll position after the live report auto-refresh. | Until the tab is closed |
| plab_ga_skip_pageview | sessionStorage | Prevents the live report auto-refresh from being counted as a new page view. | Until the tab is closed |
| plab_phase_* | sessionStorage | Remembers the selected game phase (possession/non-possession). | Until the tab is closed |
| plab_coach_seen_* | sessionStorage | Remembers which Coach Assistant suggestions have already been viewed. | Until the tab is closed |
| plab_coach_idx_* | sessionStorage | Remembers the position in the suggestions carousel. | Until the tab is closed |
Only if you give your consent through the banner do we use measurement cookies provided by Google Ireland Ltd., for two distinct purposes: site usage statistics (Google Analytics 4) and measuring the effectiveness of our campaigns (Google Ads). None of these cookies are set before your consent, and enabling them is not necessary to use the website or the platform.
Measures site usage in aggregate form: pages visited, source, device.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Measurement cookie (Google Analytics 4) | Distinguishes users for statistical purposes. | Up to 24 months (GA4 default; typically 13-24 months) |
| _ga_* | Measurement cookie (Google Analytics 4) | Maintains the measurement session state. | Up to 24 months (GA4 default; typically 13-24 months) |
Measurement covers both the public pages and the reserved area (LAB). When you are signed in, a pseudonymous internal identifier (the number identifying your account, never your name or email address) and some non-identifying information useful for statistics (site area, service state, badge) are associated with the measurement. They serve to understand how the platform is used, not to profile you for advertising purposes. Administration pages are excluded from measurement.
If you reach the site from one of our ads, these cookies make it possible to link your request to the ad click: they serve to assess the effectiveness of each campaign. They are set by Google's tag on our own domain (first-party), and the information they collect is transmitted to Google. We use them for this measurement only: ads personalisation and remarketing remain disabled even after you accept, and we do not build advertising profiles. For further details, see Google's notice on advertising cookies.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Conversion measurement cookie (Google Ads) | Records the ad click so that it can be linked to the subsequent request (conversion attribution). | 90 days |
| _gcl_* | Conversion measurement cookie (Google Ads) | Variants used by the Google Ads conversion measurement system. | Up to 90 days |
These services may involve a transfer of data to the United States, covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (see the Privacy Policy, "Data recipients" section).
On your first visit, the banner lets you accept or refuse measurement cookies. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time:
Refusing or withdrawing consent does not limit your use of the website or the platform in any way.
Payment takes place on a payment link hosted by Stripe, on Stripe's domain: from that moment Stripe's cookies and notices apply (Stripe's privacy policy). Our website does not set Stripe cookies.
This policy may be updated, for example should additional measurement tools be activated on advertising campaign pages. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
